Upon start up my 2020 Honda Odyssey EX-L throws a slew of pop-up’s on the dash (collision mitigation problem, auto high beam problem, adaptive cruise control problem, lane keep assist problem, road departure mitigation problem). It's been doing this for months, but when it started, I had just gotten an oil change 2 weeks prior and knew my mechanic would've caught this if it was something major. Last week I took it back in for another oil change and asked them to check these errors. They checked the battery and it’s fine (under 2 years old), but they confirmed it's the adaptive cruise control camera. They said not many places work on those cameras and I'll have to have the dealer do the repair. Well upon searching, it seems pretty consistent that this repair is costing owners $1700 because the camera has to be recalibrated with the software after it's replaced. I'm also seeing this problem appears to be widespread for Honda owners. Honda needs to do something to make this right for their customers. A $1700 repair for a camera that randomly dies by no fault of the owner is insane, and considering how many driver assistance systems to improve safety are affected, Honda should be held accountable. System is starting to fail by alerting me to clean windshield. Windshield and camera have been cleaned, still getting multiple warnings that system is shutting off safety features during my commutes.

Went to pull into parking lot, ADAS system starting going crazy. Throws transmission malfunction error. Headlights won’t work - they turn on and off or go extremely dim. Van keeps jerking and losing power. Code reader showed U3000-49 electronic failure. Van drove normal, no issues until this code popped up. Issue started 01/08/2026.

The Multipurpose Camera Unit has failed resulting in loss of Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, Automatic braking and other features related to the MCU. There are approximately 6 warnings when starting the car of features not working, and 3 lights that remain lit on the dash including "Brake System". This is the second time this issue has arise. The first time was replaced by the dealer under warranty.

The Multipurpose Camera Unit has failed resulting in loss of Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, Automatic braking and other features related to the MCU. The dealer inspected the car and confirmed the issue was a bad camera. There are approximately 6 warnings when starting the car of features not working, and 3 lights that remain lit on the dash including "Brake System".

In December, out of the blue suddenly had rotating list of warning on dash panel (Lane Keeping Assist problem, Collision mitigation system, departure mitigation system problem, auto high-beam problem, Adaptive cruise control problem) plus Brake Warning system light is on constantly and brake hold not working. At first this was intermittent but now on constantly when starting and driving car. Only 55k miles on my Odyssey. Dealer said he had 3 of these in the last three months. Said it was Multi Purpose front camera failure. Cost over $1500. Since huge safety issue putting not only my family but other cars/people at risk, we are paying to repair, however we just found hundreds of people complaining about this same issue. This should be a Honda Recall. We did nothing wrong to cause this safety issue and this part should NOT fail in 5 years. I don't have the final invoice yet but I can upload later if required

The forward facing camera failed on my 2020 Odyssey with only 90,000 miles. Because of this failure, I am loosing all my forward facing safety features. This seems to be a common issue across many Honda vehicles and most users report being told the issue is being caused by overheating. Since users are being told this is a cause and effect issue, the manufacturer should address this at their expense. I first noticed this issue in mid September 2025.

Multipurpose front windshield camera stops working and many safety features are affected by this camera. Lane departure warning is not working, lane keeping assistance not working, blind spot warning not working, brake system warnings. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership and they confirm that the cause of all this problems is the Multipurpose front windshield camera. There was no warnings at all when this happens.

Out of nowhere I got a bunch of errors involving the addaptive cruise, lane keep assist, auto highbeams, collision avoidance, and the brake system light came on. the van has under 40K miles on it. From a quick search I can see that this is a VERY common issue.

All warning lights came on for Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Lane Keeping Assistance.Based on my research, it seems the forward facing camera has failed. The vehicle only has 37,000 miles on it and it is only 5 years old.

Multiple warning lights: 1. ACC- adaptive cruise control 2. LKAS- lane keeping assist problem 3. Collision Mitigation System Problem 4. Road Departure Mitigation System Problem 5. Auto high beam Problem Safety issues: With almost all of these not working the risk of avoiding a possible accident is greatly increased. An independent service center read errors for the CAN. No prior warnings, they just came up. I have replaced the battery and the issues were not resolved. An inspection is possible.

On Sunday 9/28/2025 I started up my vehicle and received numerous error messages: Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM) Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Brake system light I contacted the dealership in which I purchased the vehicle and they did diagnostics. It came back that the front facing camera needs to be replaced. Which is a $2000 repair. After researching online this seems to be a common issue with years 2018-2020 odysseys. This needs to be investigated and a recall issued from Honda USA for remedy as these error messages are concerning when they pop up repeatedly.

The camera sensor is malfunctioning. It is affecting the collision sensor and lane assist sensor. Also adaptive cruise control, road mitigation and auto high beams. My vehicle is scheduled for diagnostics with a dealer, but seeing the many, many cases and videos online of the same problem, i am certain of the problem since it has been confirmed by others who have already paid for this costly repair. My warning lamps come on every time I start my vehicle. This is a definite safety issue since the issue is with the safety sensors.

We bought this van with a clean bill of health as far as accidents and single owner prior to us. The car had a documented maintenance history but after 5K miles of driving it the active cruise control began to through all kinds of errors. I researched this issue and find that many more Honda owners with active cruise control have the same issue. A few customers say that they had their front camera replaced and calibrated for a cost of about $1,600.00 only to have the error show up again. I am writing this message to report that in my case I have found a work around. It’s not a permanent fix but points to Honda’s computer throwing a false positive error that is costing a great deal of money to Honda owners. On our van when this error happens, I force a diagnostic scan followed by a forced computer reboot and the warning lights are fixed an all equipment back to working. It’s horrible to read that Honda charges $1,600.00 to replace perfectly good parts in all their line without taking the time to truly diagnose their issues with ACC errors and do good to their customers. I hope this helps reach someone who can further investigate this issue with Hondas. In our family’s case we are lucky that I have an IT background and was able to find a fix for this issue without any costs to our family financials and avoided paying Honda to replace perfectly working components due to their lack of knowledge of how their equipment works. Multiple warnings regarding Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning problems. Honda says it is the front multi-camera. The vehicle works fine intermittently, but doesn’t more often than not. Issue started to occur shortly after a wiring harness recall.

For the past couple of weeks, every time I drive the car, I get a number of error messages regarding problems with the advanced driver assistance features. These include: "Adaptive Cruise Control Problem", "Collision Mitigation System Problem", Lane Keeping Assist Problem", "Road Departure Mitigation System Problem", and "Auto High-Beam Problem". A diagnostic check showed error U3000-49, namely "Control Module Internal Electronic Failure". I took it to a shop, they ran diagnostics and told me I needed to replace the multifunction camera in the windshield. It seems to be a common problem and is very expensive to fix, at more than $2000.

When turning on vehicle the attached picture’s warning lights show on dashboard. Unable to reset them. Vehicles collision sensor not engaged when driving. Road departure will not activate when vehicle drifts of interstate lanes. Cruise control will not work at all. Brake system light will not reset even when brakes and fluids are good. With all these issues, vehicle safety devices don’t provide any safety. These could result in bodily injury and even death.

Turned on the car. It was parked for 1 day after the last driving event with no issues. Today was 15 degrees hotter than yesterday. The following errors popped up on the dashboard: Adaptive cruise control problem Collision mitigation system problem Lane keeping assist problem Road departure mitigation system problem Auto high beam problem All of the advanced safety features which utilize the front camera and sensors are deactivated. Car was turned off and restarted multiple times, windshield cleaned, and car cooled down, but the warnings remain each time. This specific issue has happened 5 times over the past year. The dealer was never able to replicate the issue as it would go away as soon as the car was restarted. This time, the warning lights would not go away.

All Honda Sensing technology is not working and brake system indicator is on. ACC, LKAS, Collision mitigation, auto high beam, road departure. I read online that a lot of Honda Odyssey owners are experiencing same problem. It could be the front camera sensor.I have always had electrical problems with car. There crackling sounds when the radio or music is playing on the stereos.
