THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE NOTICE WAS JUST A PRECAUTION ONLY. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL. MY LOCAL MB DEALERSHIP SAID MY RECALL REMEDY WAS STILL PENDING AND DIRECTED ME TO THE NATIONAL CONTACT, WHICH SAID RECALLS ARE BEING DONE IN A PHASED MANNER DUE TO LACK OF PARTS. MEANWHILE, I'M HAVING TO DRIVE WITH A POTENTIALLY DEADLY AIRBAG ON MY CAR.
10/26/2017 - I HAVE REQUESTED A REPLACEMENT AND WAS TOLD BY MERCEDES THAT THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PART
"TAKATA RECALL" I HAVE MADE APPOINTMENTS AND HAVE DISCUSSED THE SITUATION WITH PATTERSON IN WICHITA FALLS TX ABOUT THE AIRBAG LIGHT SAYING THERE IS A PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY (PATTERSONS) DOES NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE SITUATION BECAUSE THEY HAVE CONTACTED MERCEDES ABOUT THIS AND THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO EITHER. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THE CAR. THE LIGHT STAYS ON. HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO BE REPAIRED AND WAS TOLD THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. STATED WHEN THEY ARE TOLD WHAT TO DO PATERSON'S WILL CONTACT ME. I HAVE NEVER BEEN CONTACTED. I DID HOWEVER HAVE AN ACCIDENT MARCH 2015 AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY!
TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED FOR CLOSE TO TWO YEARS NOW THAT MY AIRBAG IS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT DUE TO THE RECALL. I HAVE BEEN VERY PATIENT IN WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT BUT UNTIL TODAY WHEN I RECEIVED NOTICED THAT THIS COMPANY IS FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY I FEEL LESS CONFIDENT THAT THERE WILL BE A REPLACEMENT IN TIME. I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING MY CAR KNOWING A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG IS IN IT. WHEN CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP FOR A REPLACEMENT THEY HAVE ADVISED THAT THEY ARE IN BACK ORDER AND THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR CLOSE TO TWO YEARS. SOMETHING SO SERIOUS IN MY CAR THAT CAN POTENTIAL IMPACT MY FAMILY AN I IS UNACCEPTABLE AND SHOULD BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY. I DON'T FEEL I CAN ENJOY MY CAR FULLY DUE TO THE CONSTANT CONCERN OF THESE RECALLED AIRBAGS IN MY CAR.
TAKATA RECALL AND BENZ SAID IT CANNOT DO ANYTHING
'TAKATA RECALL' I HAVE RECEIVED TWO NHTSA RECALL#16V-081 IN MAY 2016 AND NHTSA RECALL#16V-363 IN AUGUST 2016. I HAVE THE DEALER TWICE AND THEY STILL HAVE NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO REMEDY THIS RECALL.

TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED RECALL NOTICES ON MAY AND AUGUST 2016 FROM MERCEDES BENZ USA TO REPLACE THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS WHICH STATES THAT THEY MAY RUPTURE DUE TO EXCESSIVE INTERNAL PRESSURE, LIKELY TO OCCUR IF VEHICLE IS EXPOSED TO HIGH LEVELS OF ABSOLUTE HUMIDITY FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME, POSSIBLY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I LIVE IN SOUTH FLORIDA AND THE TEMPS HAVE BEEN IN THE 100S WITH OFF THE CHARTS HUMIDITY EVERY MONTH! I LIVE IN FEAR OF DRIVING MY CAR AND DYING IN AN AIRBAG EXPLOSION. WEEKLY CALLS TO THE MERCEDES DEALER SAID THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS YET! MY HUSBAND'S 2007 HONDA RIDGELINE WAS REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. COULD YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY IT'S TAKING SO LONG TO FIX THIS DANGEROUS DEFECT FOR MY CAR? THANK YOU.

TAKATA RECALL FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS I HAVE BEEN ASKING MELBOURNE MERCEDESAT 509E NASA BLVD MELBOURNE FLORIDA ABOUT THE RECALL THEY SAY THERE NOT IN YET. NOT TO WORRY IF SOMETHING WAS GOING TO HAPPEN IT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED ALREADY.
TAKATA AIRBAGS DRIVERS SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE HAVE BEEN ON RECALL SINCE BEFORE FEBRUARY 2016. THE CAR LIVES IN HOUSTON, TEXAS, ONE OF THE MOST HUMID CLIMATES IN THE COUNTRY. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. ON THE CONTRARY, BASED ON SEVERAL DISCUSSIONS AND CALLS TO TWO LOCAL DEALERSHIPS, I FEEL LIKE NOTHING WILL EVER BE DONE. MY WIFE AND I ARE AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS AND HAVE HAD THEM DISCONNECTED.
TAKATA RECALL - IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE I RECEIVED THE WRITTEN NOTICE OF RECALL, AND THERE IS NOT YET A REMEDY. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT OUR SAFETY IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION OR IMPACT CAUSING THE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. IT'S VERY UNREASONABLE TO HAVE TO WAIT THIS LONG FOR A REMEDY, ESPECIALLY WHEN THIS DEFECT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS BODILY HARM OR DEATH.

TAKATA AIRBAGS. STILL WAITING ON A REMEDY FOR THIS RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL: I AM MAKING THIS CONTACT TO REQUEST AN UPDATED PLAN FOR AIRBAG REPLACEMENT AND AN EXPLANATION FOR WHY THE PLAN THAT WAS PRESENTED IN 2016 WAS NOT ACTED UPON. AS I RECALL, THE PLAN SCHEDULED FOR PRIORITY #1 REPLACEMENTS TO OCCUR BY THE END OF 2016. HOWEVER, THERE HAS BEEN NO ACTION ON MY OR APPARENTLY OTHER VEHICLES IN THIS CLASS, AND THERE HAS BEEN NO INFORMATION PROVIDED ABOUT AN UPDATED SCHEDULE. THE AUTO MANUFACTURER DID NOT PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO MY CALL TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2010 MERCEDES-BENZ C350. DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT STRUCK THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A MINOR CONCUSSION AND HAD FOUR LOOSE TEETH, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
THE RECALL OF THE AIRBAGS HAS NOT BEEN FULFILLED BEYOND REASONABLE TIME.
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE BACK IN APRIL 2016 BECAUSE THE AIRBAGS WERE NOT PROPERLY DEPLOYING. I CALLED MD TODAY, SEPT. 6, 2017, BECAUSE I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT READY. I LIVE IN A STATE THAT IS HOT AND HUMID, WHICH EXPONENTIALLY INCREASES THE CHANCES OF AIRBAG MALFUNCTIONING.
