Panoramic moonroof shattered without warning. No impact. This is the second time this has occurred—first in October 2022, now again in July 2025. Glass exploded outward, creating a severe safety hazard
My sunroof exploded going down the road, no object hit it.
Was driving down the freeway and sunroof suddenly shattered. Nothing appeared to hit the glass, it just simply shattered.
The panoramic sunroof on our vehicle unexplainably shattered. We just purchased this vehicle less than 5 days prior to this occurring. It happened while it was parked in the drive way. Our vehicle is available for inspection, however it is at the dealership waiting a decision from Nissan engineering on whether or not they will cover the issue. The main safety risk is that this problem could have occurred while the vehicle was being operated and injured passangers. The problem of the sunroof being shattered has been confirmed by Nissan dealership. We are still waiting for their engineers to confirm whether or not they will cover the issue. There were no issues or warnings regarding this issue.
