Rear windshield exploded when I closed my driver side door upon entering my car. After I had it replaced my door does not work properly now. It opens all the way then closes part way. Tried to reset but doesn't work.
Malfunction light appears. Car slows and full pressure on gas pedal causes car to "bulk" (increase then decrease in speed with jerking feeling). Eventually check engine light appears. Have taken to dealership, but because no lights appeared while there they could not find any problem. Told to bring to them when light is on , however this happens most often when they are not open. Now (12/26/25) being told they are booked out for 3 weeks before they can even check it and if no warning lights on, they can not diagnose problems. This problem is intermittent and started more than one year ago with at least 4 trips to dealership.1
I am writing what I think is a safety issue on a 2020 Nissan Rogue S. Left my house to go to a local store. When I park, I normally press the internal lock button and not the lock button on fob. I exited the vehicle and closed the door. Came back to vehicle, for some reason I just grabbed the door, not using the key fob, nor the ignition key to enter, and the driver side door opened. I questioned myself what just happened. I did not think much of it. Well I made another stop. I parked, pressed internal button, exited and closed door. I came back and pull driver side door handle and the door was unlocked again. So while parked I tried to diagnosis why the door was unlocked again. I used the internal lock button first, all but the driver side door lock, I used the lock button on the key fob, same thing. tried the ignition key, it would lock and unlock. So when I got home I tried to get it to work again, but to no avail. I tried looking in the vehicle setting, watch you tube videos etc. I even disconnected and reconnected the battery. Nothing worked, Got online and saw a lot of people were having the issue due to door lock actuator failing on Rogues. So I called my nearest Nissan dealership and told them my problem. They could get me in on July 17, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. and it would take several hours to diagnosis. The diagnosis was the actuator failed but power was going to it. To fix it it will cost $905. This is why I am writing you. I think it is a safety issue that needs to be address. If people don't know the vehicle is unlocked there could be some of type of thief or a person could be in your car when you returned. If the door was in the locked position while in the vehicle and you need to get out in an emergency you have to exit another door, which you might not have enough time to do so. If you are trying to enter the vehicle for an emergency and the door stays locked that a safety issue. This is a safety issue and should be recalled. Thank you for your time.
My sunroof is leaking I took it to the dealers to get fixed, but itβs still doing the same thing. I made a claim at Nissan Corporate but every time the rainfall I go to the car wash inside of the front is full of water. at my son said the car smells mold my claim nunders is 51832282
Key FOB and door lock/unlock function failure. Driver side rear door is locked and cannot be unlocked with FOB or manually. In an emergency a passenger in that seat position could be in a life threatening situation. Problem noted on 07/07/2024 (Sunday) and has not been reported to dealership yet. No one has inspected vehicle as of 07/07/2024. There had been one incident a few days previous where driver door would not unlock via FOB or from front passenger lock switch. Door was finally opened by passenger reaching across and hitting door switch on driver side. No warning lamps noted during these events.
On May 17, 2024 my 2020 Nissan Rogue malfunctioned after the ignition button was pressed to start the car, and burst into flames. 1.What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Unknown but fire began in the upper left quadrant area of engine. 2.How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? It was a fire with the potential to cause an explosion. 3.Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No. 4.Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Car inspected by insurance. Manufacturer was notified. 5.Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Once the ignition button was pressed a barrage of warning lights came on including: brake failure, headlight failure, chassis control failure. The smell of smoke was detectable immediately.
The rear windshield of my car blew out overnight. Police came and determined there was no vandalism, it blew out. My car had been parked for at least 12 hours, with no shifts in temperature. Upon doing a google search and speaking to people on message boards, it seems this is quite a common issue on this car, with the damage presenting in the exact same way. Two holes on either side of the windshield with everything else shattered. Thankfully I wasn't driving at the time, but I did speak to one person who was. I attempted to speak with Nissan but they told me it was not under warranty and basically not their problem. No warning indicators or anything else that would have warned of issue.
There has been a keyfob recall for this vehicle for at least a year with no final remedy in sight. The company's website shows the recall with a "final remedy" and the company also stated this to me over the phone, but the NHTSB site says it is not final. Can you push the company to finalize the recall remedy?
The power assisted rear hatch on my Nissan Rogue on occasion will open to the fullest height then suddenly close again with out any warning. When the hatch comes down, there is no electrical power to re-operate this hatch and is very heavy, dead weight and traps you under the hatch, or smack me in the head depending on my body location at time of closing.. It is hard for me as an adult to re-open the powerless hatch, but it is very troublesome to think about what would happen to a small child if trapped under the hatch. I bought this car used and returned to the dealer on 06/26/23 to report this problem and to have it repaired. Needlessly, the problem still exist. This problem as happened over twenty times and there is no set pattern as to when it will happen. The dealer I purchased this car from is Tri-Cities Nissan 2526 Bristol Hwy Johnson City, TN 37601 (423-952-1953) I am reporting this problem because it is a major safety concern for a small child or weakened senior citizen.
My wife has been feeling ill after being in our 2020 Nissan Rogue over the past year. We had noticed a very bad smell when it was first started about 7 months after owning it. It was purchased new with only 4 miles on it. The milage now is just under 14k We did some research and found out that we should look at the cabin air filter. When we removed it we found it to be covered with Black Mold. I replaced it and about 3 months later we were having the same issue. We had wrote to the Corporate office and CEO our letter and case was given to Madison an Executive Specialist our case number is Case #45577085 and her direct number is 615-725-7752 we were asked to meet with Paul Smith at Crown Nissan Greenville SC which we did. We also met with Ryan Baughman the Serice Director. They want to replace the entire system even though they did not see any obvious issues. That date has not been confirmed as the parts were not available at that time. The problem is that my wife is unable to be in her new car for any extended amount to time. I worry that Nissan is at one point going to tell us there in nothing more they can or will do. at age 68 we have never had any issue like this in all the vehicles that we have owned in Year Past. They suggested that once the new systems is installed that they would install a Carbon Filter. After a considerable amount to research we are not the only ones with this type of issue, but beyond that the bottom line is my wife feels ill after a short time inside this car which was bought for her. Any help would be greatly appreciated
While driving on a very busy highway, the hood of my 2020 Nissan Rogue opened without warning and smashed on my windshield. I stopped on the side of the road and thank God I was able to close it and was able to drive it home.
Front right tire it feels like the ABS system is locking the tire when traveling on the FWY approximately between 60-65 miles per hour and it makes the car slowdown and pull to the right and then it goes back to normal. It has happened 2 times 9/15/21 and 9/30/21 Very scary situation.
THE FRONT PART OF THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF SPONTANEOUSLY COLLAPSES AND SHATTERED ON ME AS I WAS DRIVING APPROX 60MPH ON THE HIGHWAY.
THE FRONT PART OF MY PANORAMIC SUNROOF SHATTERED UNEXPECTEDLY, AS I WAS DRIVING APPROX 60MPH ON THE HIGHWAY.
NISSAN HAS REPLACED THE DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER WITH AVERAGE SPEED. THE ANALOG SPEEDOMETER IS TO THE RIGHT. THIS MAKES DRIVING THE VEHICLE DANGEROUS BECAUSE YOU NEED TO TRAIN YOURSELF TO LOOK TO THE RIGHT TO KNOW THE SPEED. WHEN I FIRST DROVE THE VEHICLE IT WAS ON AVERAGE SPEED WHICH WAS READ 21 MILES PER HOUR. I WAS ACTUALLY DOING 70 MILES PER HOUR. THIS CAN BE EASILY CORRECTED WITH A COMPUTER UP DATE. I WAS TOTAL I COULD PAY FOR AN UPDATE. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY TO KNOW HOW FAST I AM GOING. THIS SHOULD BE STANDARD ON ALL VEHICLES IF THE ANALOG SPEEDOMETER IS NOT IN THE CENTER.
THE FRONT COLLISION WARNING SIGN FLASHES WHILE DRIVING. THIS ONLY OCCURS ON COLD MORNINGS. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP'S SERVICE CENTER AND THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME THAT THE FLASHING IS CAUSED BY CONDENSATION. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
