Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2016 Nissan Sentra. The contact discovered a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was approximately 93,000. It was later discovered that the title mileage was 119,200. The contact called the dealer and requested the odometer be updated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer called the contact to pick up the vehicle, that the vehicle would not be repaired, and that the vehicle had too many failures.
Transmission began slipping in summer of 2023. Recall was already open on car and current when taken to dealership. Dealership refused to service, closed recall as corrected without inspecting the vehicle correctly. Transmission has gotten worse.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated while pressing the Push to Start button to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that a message indicating that the vehicle could not read the key fob was displayed; however, the key fob was in her pocket. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who informed the contact that the battery and the key fob battery were in good condition. The dealer replaced an unknown fuse, and the vehicle restarted; however, the failure recurred two weeks later. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where an unknown fuse was replaced; however, the failure recurred the following day. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that an unknown wiring harness had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
This 2016 Nissan Sentra has parasitic battery draining. There is a great safety issue in not having a ready vehicle for emergency situations. I am also not confident the vehicle will start when away from home. The highest grade AGM battery was purchased to replaced the original battery to no avail. The vehicle requires continuous jump starts. Alternator appears to be functioning according to testing.

The vehicle was taken to two independent mechanics who inspected for a leak and added freon to the air conditioner system; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. I was traveling down the road and the vehicle just quit in my travel lane.Check engine indicator traction indicator and triangular exclamation indicator came on at about 35 vehicle did not operate afterward.

The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer had been notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 22,000.
In the event of an accident this vehicle doors will not open until the key is in the off position and removed from the ignition. You cannot exit the vehicle doors at any time when the motor is running or the key is still in the ignition. Death trap !
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT WAS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT EXTRA FORCE WAS NEEDED TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
ON MY RADIO, IT ALSO HAS GPS & BACKUP CAMERA AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK IT TURNS OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING THEN A FEW MINUTES LATER IT TURNS BACK ON AND THE RADIO GOES FULL BLAST. I AM ASSUMING THIS IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. IT DID IT AGAIN 12/13/18. I AM WORRIED THAT THE ELECTRICAL FOR THE WHOLE CAR IS GOING TO SHUT OFF.
WHEN I GET IN MY CAR AND PUSH THE START BUTTON EVERYTHING SHUTS OFF LOCKING ME INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND I CAN NOT GET OUT!! LUCKILY I COULD RELEASE THE HOOD IF I HAVE SOMEONE TO LET ME OUT. IT HAPPENED ON TUESDAY NOVEMBER 27 AT 10PM IN 20 DEGREE WEATHER. I HAD A PANIC ATTACK TRYING TO GO FROM THE FRONT SEAT TO BACK AND BACK TO FRONT. I PRESSED MY HEAD SO HARD AGAINST THE CEILING THAT I IMMEDIATELY GOT A MIGRAINE AND THREW UP. THREE DAYS LATER I STILL HAVE A MIGRAINE AND THROWING UP. SHOULD THE CAR LOCK UP LIKE THAT WHEN LOSING POWER.
ASSUMING THIS MAY BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM I COULD NOT START IT HAS PLENTY OF VOLTAGE. MANUFACTUREDDEFECT OF MARCH 11TH FOR SAME MODEL ONLY ONE MONTH SHY OF THE RECALL FROM APRIL 11TH ARE YOU SURE THIS MANUFACTURE DATE DOESN'T HAVE A RECALL AS OTHER BUILT ONE MONTH LATER?LVE ONLY HAD FOR 2 MONTHS AND I'M ALREADY HAVING AN ISSUE. BOUGHT FROM HERTZ CAR SALES IN ROSEVILLE, CAN. NOT STARTING ALL THE TIME JUST GETTING A CLICK SO RULING OUT THE STARTER NOT HAPPY
