The rear tailgate is malfunctioning. I was told by dealer it is not covered under any warranty (even extended) this is something that has been reported by others and should be fixed. As well as having to repeatedly hit the lock or unlock buttons to actually work on the car before it works.
The rear tailgate squeaking is non stop. Dealer says not covered under warranty however MANY people online complaint of the same issue. This should be fixed by the manufacturer . Manu dealerships say it will cost upwards of 1 thousand dollars
I have an issues with the door on drivers side that won't unlock as much as I press the key fob it won't open its 2021 toyota Venza. I am physically disabled and I unable to stand for long. So that means I have to use my key to unlock my doors and I can't stand for too long I can tired and fall. And toyota knows of this issues and they refuse to fix and I don't think I should pay for something that they know has a defect. It's not fair.
Windshield cracked (apparently from the edge) during highway driving in normal conditions for no clear reason. The windshield has not yet been replaced but replacement is expected to be replaced in the week ending 1/11/25. Crack appears to start on the passenger side of middle, on the lower edge of the windshield. This area is behind the windshield wipers and is shielded by the hood. The crack extended upwards, then turned towards the drivers side. The Toyota dealer that sold the vehicle refused to inspect the damage because they do not work on glass. Toyota Brand Engagement, the name of the group that responded to a support request expressly stated that glass is not covered under warranty and there is no current recall on this vehicle. They finished their rejection of my request for help with a suggestion that my insurance should be engaged to repair the failure. I have not engaged my insurance carrier on this.
Adding to the many complaints about the '21 Venza windshield and the safety issues presented by the easy cracking of the front windshield.
Vehicle parked safe place. When I returned to the vehicle Windscreen at a large crack.
I was driving down the street when I hear a pebble, rubble, hit my windshield. I didn’t think too much of it as that happens from time to time while I’m driving in any vehicle. When I reached the stop light I peeked over and saw a crack of near 12 inches coming from the passenger side to the center of the windshield. I cannot understand how driving at slow speeds on a street and having a pebble hit your windshield cause such damage. I stepped out of my vehicle to inspect and you can see the small area where the pebble hit.
I heard a crack on my windshield. There were no other vehicles in front or beside me that may have thrown a rock into my windshield. A day later, I noticed a crack in my windshield that is approximately 10" long extending from the base of the windshield on the passenger side up and towards the middle of the windshield. There seems to be no reason for the crack to have developed. In researching this issue on line, it appears that there have been many complaints about unexplained windshield cracks with the 2021 Venza.
When starting from stop, car didn’t respond to gas pedal being depressed. For 3-5 seconds.
This car is 1.5 years old and this will be the third windshield replacement. Ether nothing hit the windshield or if something did, it was so small and there is a 8 inch crack starting from bottom center side of passenger windshield. The last replacement was only 6 months ago. This glass is either defective or is so weak it continues to crack
I received a call from the Toyota service department during a routine oil change. They indicated that I had severe rodent damage throughout my car. After doing my own research, I found numerous complaints of similar nature with Toyota vehicles due to the soy based wiring they use. It creates a safety hazard as rodents (mice) are attracted to the wiring and create nests within the vehicle. My cost to fix the problem was over $4,500 that my insurance covered, but I still had to pay my deductible. The job took approximately 3-4 weeks and I was without a vehicle. The dealership nor the Toyota representative would do anything for me. The car was only a year old. I’ve never had anything like this happen to any new vehicles I have purchased. It seems to be a serious issue with other Toyota vehicles and can be hazardous.
I have had to replace the windshield 5 times in the last two years. The windshield cracks with just the slightest impact to the windshield from small debris on the highway that should not typically damage the windshield in such a way. All replacement windshields have been ordered directly from Toyota and all have had this issue.
windshield cracked 8 inches when a small object hit it. u want even traveling close behind any vehicle. It was on a surface street and not the freeway.
Within the the past 2 years of having my Venza, I had to switch the front windshield 3 times. I believe this is a safety concern because the smallest impact will cause a big crack in the windshield. Two out of the three times that has happened to me I was not driving in a zone of more than 50mph.
Windshield crack. Known that 2021 Venza windshield prone to crack. Impaired vision and possible hazard. Class action lawsuit filed against Toyota. This appeared first 7 days of purchase.
Cracked windshield. After parking in an empty parking lot at my office. No one around. I came out of office five minutes later and found a crack in the windshield. NO spider from a rock. Just a crack starting on the very edge of the glass. On the drivers side.
Windshield developed a 24 inch long crack overnight while vehicle was parked in driveway. There was no impact to the windshield and vehicle had not been driven for several days. Crack begins at top edge of windshield on passenger side and continues in a downward diagonal direction moving towards the driver side.
Windshield just cracked with nothing hitting it. It literally just split from the bottom and is getting worse with only 24 hours.
Small rock hit windshield causing it to immediately crack 12” long and in an arc. In 55 years driving never had this occurrence. Checked website and apparently there are quite a few incidents of the same size of crack and arc happening in 2021 Venza. Wondered if there is a manufacturers defect with this windshield.
Don't recall anything unusual hitting my windshield (other than sandy grit), but when I drove it today there is a small chip and 12" crack. I have driven cars for 35 years and have never had such a fragile windshield on a car. I think it is defective, because I read about a bunch of other people having the same issue on this Toyota Nation site (and also Facebook)- https://www.toyotanation.com/threads/windshield-repair.1695878/ It is not very safe to have people drive around with windshields like this, especially if it is the fault of poor manufacturing. And even though you are supposed to get it fixed with insurance, I am not in a place right now to afford the deductible to get it fixed.
Windshield cracked passenger side with 2.5 inch circular area defect, with crack from passenger edge to midpoint. There was no traffic at the time in front of me or oncoming traffic. Was in an area of just grasslands on paved road. Temperature was in the 80's. Speed at 75mph. Sunny day. No known rock hit prior to this. Purchase July 2021.
I got hit by an unknown vehicle while I left my car parked then to work.
1 month after buying vehicle i heard as if a rock hit the car. I assume that’s what happened but i did not see it hit. When i got home, i saw a chip in the lower edge of the passenger side (in the black part of the glass) on the windshield. There have been no appointments to repair, but 6 weeks after, the windshield cracked overnight while sitting in the garage. The crack formed an arc towards the driver side and is about 18 inches long. I have noticed reporte of other owners reporting the exact same thing, so thought i would report based on how similar their accounts are to my experience.
Wind screen of new Venza is very vulnerable to chipping. In first 7 months of driving it happened twice. On same route I drove Prius for 230,000 miles with no issues. It seems the glass is not tough enough and with slight hit by stone it easily breaks. This happened while I was on a stop sign waiting for other vehicle to pass.
An object, possibly a rock, flew up from the road and caused a chip in the windshield that turned into a crack from the far left side of the windshield to the middle. I have had several other vehicles in the past that rocks have hit the windshield and no damage was done.
