On my 2015 Chevy Silverado truck the Service Airbag light has been coming on sporadically. I did a google search and received this back. Yes, there has been a recall on the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado regarding the airbag system, specifically affecting the roof-rail airbags (RRAB) which may deploy without a collision due to a potential manufacturing defect in the inflator, causing parts to potentially propel into the cabin and injure occupants; this recall affects both the 2015 Silverado 1500 I did a search via my VIN number and your site tells me my truck is not applicable. Please provide some guidance. I need this fixed and should not be charged for the fix.
Hit gooseneck dump trailer attached to Dodge Ram 2500 truck. Hit trailer frame square below tailgate. Silverado was total loss. Airbags did not deploy, driver suffered injury to face on steering wheel. Front passenger suffered some bruising from seatbelt. Driver was hospitalized a week later with a seizure with no known medical cause and no history of seizures 50+ years.
