I PURCHASED A HONDA CRV IN SEPTEMBER 2016.THE TRANSMISSION /GEARBOX HAS REPEATEDLY FAILED. 1. I DRIVED MY CRV AT 8/18/2018,IT WAS THE CASE AT THAT TIME, THE TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY JUMPED TO THE "N-GEAR" POSITION DURING FORWARD MOVEMENT, AND THEN THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED DUE TO INERTIA DURING THE FORWARD PROCESS , AND THEN THE OIL PAN CRACKED. SO I I TOLD THIS TO THE PERSON WHO PICKED UP THE CAR IN DIAMOND HONDA, BUT THE PERSON WHO PICKED UP THE CAR AT THAT TIME SAID THAT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE GEARBOX TO SUDDENLY JUMP INTO GEAR. SO I HAVE TO PAY THE REPAIR FEE $469.89. 2.THE ENGINE FAULT CODE P0741 AT 5/23/2020, I HAVE BEEN TO DIAMOND HONDA FOR REPAIR 5/23/2020. THE ENGINE IS LIGHTING UP.ONLY DRIVED 20000 MILE, WHY LIGHTING UP? DIAMOND HONDA CONFIRMED THE TRANSMISSION HASDEFECTED. SO THEY CHANGED AREMANUFACTURED TRANSMISSION TO ME AT 6/2/2020. A REMANUFACTURED OR REFURBISHED PRODUCT IS ONE WHICH IS NOT NEW BUT HAS BEEN TESTED, OFTEN REPACKAGED AND SOLD WITH A "REMANUFACTURED" OR "REFURBISHED" LABEL. A REMANUFACTURED OR REFURBISHED PRODUCT MAY NOT LOOK NEW, BUT IT WILL SHOW ONLY LIMITED WEAR AND IT SHOULD PERFORM AS NEW. THESE DEVICES MIGHT HAVE BEEN OPENED AND RETURNED, OR THEY COULD BE DEMO MODELS, TRADE-INS OR ITEMS RETURNED AT THE END OF A LEASE PERIOD. 3. I PICKED UP MY CRV ON 6/2/2020. BUT IT DID NOT REPAIR AND COULD NOT WORK SINCEDIAMOND HONDA CHANGED AREMANUFACTUREDTRANSMISSION, NOT A NEWTRANSMISSION.WHEN I DRIVE, I CAN'T ACCELERATE SMOOTHLY, AND EVERY TIME I NEED TO INCREASE THE THROTTLE FOR A LONG TIME TO SPEED UP. AND WHEN DRIVING, THERE WILL BE A SERIOUS SENSE OF FRUSTRATION, THE BODY WILL INVOLUNTARILY LEAN FORWARD AND BACKWARD WITH THE SPEED OF THE VEHICLE. 1.I REQUEST TO CHANGE A NEW ENTIRE TRANSMISSION 2. REFUND THE REPAIR FEE $469.89 TO ME. 3.I REQUEST TO EXTEND THE ENGINE WARRANTY TO 6 YEARS.

EXCESSIVE VIBRATION AT IDLE WHEN THE CAR IS IN DRIVE AND CAR GETS TO AROUND 600 RPMS AFTER VEHICLE IS WARM. YOU CAN INCREASE IDLE SPEED AND VIBRATION IS NOT FELT. VERY ANNOYING FOR A RELATIVELY NEW VEHICLE. DON'T AGREE THIS SHOULD BE A NORMAL IDLE VIBRATION CONDITION. FIRST NOTICED THIS CONDITION IN JANUARY 2019 AND ASKED DEALER TO CHECK OUT THIS ISSUE. AT THE TIME MY CAR HAD 30,377 MILES. SINCE THEN THIS ISSUE IS WORSE. HONDA SHOULD HAVE A FIX FOR THIS ISSUE.

CAR ENGINE **UNDER WARRANTY** IS BURNING EXCESSIVE OIL WHICH CAN EVENTUALLY LEAD TO CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. [WARRANTY: 5 YR/60K MILES; HAVE OWNED JUST OVER 3 YRS W/ 38K MILES] 1) HAVING WORKED ON MY OWN CARS 30+ YEARS I NOTED IT WAS BURNING FAR TOO MUCH OIL BETWEEN CHANGES. TOOK CAR TO DEALER FOR 'ENGINE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST' 6/29/19; DEALER DENIED CAR HAD BURNED ANY OIL DESPITE STICK SHOWING ENGINE HAD IN FACT BURNED OIL DURING DURATION OF TEST. 2) SENT EMAIL TO HONDA REPORTING THIS ISSUE ('HONDA AUTOMOBILE CUSTOMER SERVICE CASE # 09925699 DATED 10/3/19'). HONDA REPLIED THAT I SHOULD TALK TO THE VERY SAME SERVICE MANAGER WHO DENIED THE ENGINE WAS BURNING ANY OIL LET ALONE EXCESSIVE OIL; IN THE ALTERNATIVE THEY SUGGESTED GOING TO 'ANOTHER CERTIFIED HONDA DEALERSHIP'. SINCE THE ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED THE DEFECT & INTERNAL DAMAGE IS ONGOING. I AM CONCERNED THAT DRIVING THE CAR WITHOUT APPROPRIATE REPAIR IS DANGEROUS. A SIMPLE 'GOOGLE SEARCH' REVEALS MINE IS NOT THE ONLY VEHICLE IN THIS MODEL YEAR WITH THIS ISSUE. I NOTE THAT FOR PRIOR MODEL YEARS HONDA HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS DEFECT & AT LEAST EXTENDED THE WARRANTY OR EFFECTED REPAIRS. (SEE HONDA SERVICE BULLETIN 12-089) CONSUMER REPORTS SAYS 'IT'S NORMAL FOR CARS TO BURN A LITTLE OIL AS THEY AGE TOWARD 100,000 MILES AND BEYOND. BUT CONSUMER REPORTS BELIEVES THAT FOR AN ALMOST NEW CAR TO BURN THAT EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF OIL IS UNACCEPTABLE.' TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WATER PUMP SEIZED CAUSING THE FAN BELT AROUND THE METAL TO GET HOT AND FRACTURED, SMOKE AND FLAMES STARTED TO COME FROM THE ENGINE. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED BY THE CONTACT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT LATER CALLED HONDA CARS OF ROCK HILL DEALER, (LOCATED AT 686 GALLERIA BLVD, ROCK HILL, SC 29730, (803) 366-8161) AND WAS ADVISED TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.

MY HONDA CRV SEVERAL TIMES RANDOMLY AFTER RIGHT TURN, RESISTS / HESITATES TO ACCELERATE. PRETTY MUCH LOOSES COMPLETE ACCELERATION EVEN IF I PRESS ACCELERATOR. BUT IT PICKS UP AFTER FEW SECONDS. COUPLE OF TIMES I HAD BEEN IN CLOSE SITUATION AS AFTER I MAKE RIGHT TURN SINCE IT DOESN'T PICKUP SPEED, THE TRAFFIC CAME CLOSE TO MY VEHICLE. I TOOK TO HONDA DEALER 2 TIMES SO FAR AND THEY SAID SINCE THIS CANNOT BE REPRODUCED AT WILL, THEY CANNOT DO ANY THING. BUT THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE.

HESITATION WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. HAPPENS ANYTIME- STEP ON THE GAS AND IT TAKES A FEW SECONDS BEFORE THE ACCELERATION STARTS. HAPPENS WHEN STARTING OUT AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR WHEN YOU FIRST START ACCELERATING AFTER SLOWING DOWN OR AT A STOP.

I HAVE RETURNED TO THE DEALER TWICE BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN AN INCREASE IN MY OIL LEVEL AND A GASOLINE SMELL ON THE DIPSTICK. TWICE THE DEALER CHANGED MY OIL AND FILTER--AT NO CHARGE--BUT NO FIX. THERE MAY BE SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUES IF THE DILUTED OIL FAILS TO PERFORM PROPERLY AND THE ENGINE SEIZES.

THERE IS A DISTINCT GASOLINE SMELL IN THE CABIN WHILE DRIVING AND ALSO SOMETIMES WHILE PARKED IN THE GARAGE. THE FIRST TIME WE NOTICED THE ODOR WAS IN NOVEMBER OF 2016. WE HAVE NOTICED IT AT LEAST A DOZEN TIMES SINCE THEN. AFTER TAKING IT TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP, WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT THERE IS NO FIX.

OURISMAN HONDA BETHESDA MD DIAGNOSED AS PINHOLE IN RADIATOR HOSE. NO CAUSE PROVIDED. ON DOWNTOWN WASHINGTON DC STREET BUT COULD HAVE BEEN ON HIGH-SPEED HIGHWAY.

VIBRATION AT IDLE IN GEAR. I FOUND THE VIBRATION ON THE SECOND DAY I GOT THE CAR WITH ONLY ABOUT 100 MILES ON IT. IT VIBRATES AT IDLE IN GEAR. IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS AT 600-700 RPM. WHEN I TURN ON THE HEATER TO MAX SO IT GOES TO 800 RPM, THE VIBRATION STOPS. BUT ONCE THE HEATER IS OFF AND IT DROPS BACK TO 600-700 RPM, THE VIBRATION COMES BACK. VERY DISAPPOINTED SINCE HONDA JUST CLAIMED THAT THEY FIXED THIS PROBLEM. APPARENTLY NOT TRUE.

EXCESSIVE VIBRATION - THE ENGINE IS AT 600 RPM WHEN IDLING. THIS CREATES A NOTICEABLE VIBRATION THROUGHOUT THE CAR AT IDLE. THIS IS ALSO A PROBLEM WHEN DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. THIS VIBRATION IS CAUSING ME DIZZINESS AND SOMETIMES I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING (AND I NEEDED TO BE PICKED UP). I TOLD THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT MY HONDA DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID THAT ALL 2016 HONDA CR-V IDLE AT 600 RPM. THEY OFFERED NO RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM.
