WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE TO GET ON HIGHWAY MY CAR STALLED AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THEN IT JERKED FORWARD AND ACCELERATED ALL AT ONCE. CAUSING THE CAR'S RPM TO INCREASE EXPONENTAILLY AND THEN RETURN BACK TO NORMAL. THIS HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE OWNING THE CAR. LUCKILY I HAVE NOT BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTA WHILE THIS OCCURRED.

I HAVE READ THE HYUNDAI KIA RECALL AND I AM TO SCARED TO GET INTO MY CAR. I HAVE PLACES TO GO BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO GO IN CAR FOR FFEAR OF GOING ON FIRE I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN AND AM UNABLE TO GO THE A WINDOW I HAVE BOUGHT THE TOOL BUT I STILL AM TO SCARED TO GET IN CAR AND EVEN START IT. THEY HAVE NOT COMPLIED WITH THE RECALL AS YET KIA HAS SO I AM AT A LOST WITH HYUNDAI. I DO NOT WANT THAT CAR ANYMORE SO VERY FRIGHTEN I HAVE ALSO READ ABOUT A 2017 CAR THAT WENT ON FIRE. THE GOVERNMENT TILL NOW HAS NOT STEPPED IN. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. I DO NOT HAVE THE CONSCIENCE TO SELL IT. OR EVEN TRADE IT IN. I WILL FEEL VERY GUILTY IF SOMEONE ELSE COULD DIE IN THAT CAR. PLEASE I BAM AT A STAND STILL. I NEED TO GET AROUND. PLEASE HELP ME.

TRANSMISSION WAS JUMPING GEARS WHEN SPEEDING UP AND SLOWING DOWN. THIS WAS CONCERNING ESPECIALLY WHEN COMING TO STOPS AT RED LIGHTS AND STOP SIGNS. TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE SENSOR WAS FOUND TO BE SHORTED AND WAS REPLACED AT HYUNDAI DEALER.

CAR WILL NOT START HAVE PUSH START SYSTEM TRIED CHANGING BATTERIES IN REMOTES TRIED JUMP STARTING WITH NO RESULTS GOOGLED TO SEE IF IT WAS A RECALL OR ANYONE ELSE WITH SIMILAR OR SAME PROBLEM TO MY SURPRISE PLENTY OF PEOPLE HAVE SAME PROBLEM SAY HYUNDAI HAS KNOWN FOR YEARS AND CAN'T COME UP WITH A REASON FOR THIS HAPPENING

ON 5/24/2016, MY VEHICLE UNEXPECTEDLY ACCELERATED WHILE IN THE REVERSE POSITION. I WAS REVERSING INTO A PARKING SPOT WHEN THE ENGINE REVVED AND FLUNG ME FORWARD INTO A BRICK WALL. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS HURT AND DISTANCE BETWEEN THE PARKING SPOT AND THE WALL WASN'T FAR BUT IT CAUSED A LOT OF DAMAGE AND UNFORTUNATELY MY CROOKED INSURANCE NEVER TOTALED IT. NOW SINCE THEN I'VE DEALT WITH NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS AND I STILL BELIEVE THAT THE ISSUE THAT CAUSED THIS HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. MY CAR WON'T START UNLESS I PUSH THE BRAKE AND PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL AND BACK INTO PARK BEFORE IT STARTS. I'VE HAD IT AT THE DEALERSHIP COUNTLESS TIMES. REPLACED A STARTER. FIXED THE RADIATOR AGAIN. NOW I'M ABOUT TO GO AND TELL THE DEALER TO FIX THE INHIBITOR SWITCH OR NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH. I'M NOT MADE OF MONEY AND I NEED MY CAR FOR WORK AND NOW I'M STUCK WITH FINANCING AND I CAN'T GET RID OF THIS DEATH MOBILE. MY INSURANCE HAS INCREASED BECAUSE THEY BLAMED ME FOR THE ACCIDENT BUT I KNOW I DIDN'T DO THAT. I HAVE A GOOD DRIVING RECORD AND AM NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO MISTAKE THE GAS FOR THE BRAKE.

RADIO VOLUME CONTROL BUTTON ON STEERING COLUMN EITHER DOESN'T WORK AT ALL, MUTES THE RADIO OR CAUSE THE "PLEASE SAY A COMMAND" PROMPT TO COME ON. THE PLEASE SAVE A COMMAND PROMPT BUTTON IS TWO BUTTON DOWNS FROM THE VOLUME CONTROL BUTTON. THIS HAPPENS SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE WEEK. IT DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE A PATTERN. THIS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE OWNING THE CAR.

MY SUNROOF HAS EXPLODED TWICE IN THE PAST 18 MONTHS. THE FIRST TIME I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE EXPRESSWAY WHEN I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUNSHOT. SHORTLY AFTER, I REALIZED MY SUNROOF WAS SHATTERED WITH GLASS FALLING INTO THE VEHICLE. THE NOISE ALMOST CAUSED ME TO SWERVE ONTO TRAFFIC IN THE OTHER LANES. OF COURSE, HYUNDAI SAID IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE 2ND TIME WHICH HAPPENED YESTERDAY, I CAME TO WORK AND PARKED WHERE MY VEHICLE REMAINED ALL DAY. I EVEN STROLLED BY MY CAR DURING LUNCH AS I HOPPED INTO MY FRIEND'S VEHICLE AND SAW NO DAMAGE. MY CAR SITS IN MY ASSIGNED PARKING SPOT RIGHT OUTSIDE MY OFFICE WINDOW AT OUR LOCAL ARMORY. WHEN I GOT INTO MY VEHICLE LAST NIGHT AND DROVE OFF I COULD HEAR WHAT SOUNDED LIKE DIRT/GRAVEL FROM THE TIRES BUT SOON REALIZED IT WAS GLASS FROM THE SUNROOF. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY ALL DAY. NOW HYUNDAI IS TELLING ME THAT I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGES AGAIN. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

THE CAR SENT ME AN EMAIL AND IT IS NOT MY CAR. THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE IT WAS NEW. ISN'T THIS A SEVERE SECURITY PROBLEM FOR THE REAL OWNER? NO ONE HAS EVER RESPONDED AT HYUDAI. I HAVE MADE CONTACT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS OVER THE YEARS. I GUESS THEY DON'T CARE. IT SEEMS THAT THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY HAS NO CONCERNS WITH RESPECT TO PRIVACY. I HOPE MY NEXT NEW CAR HAS BETTER CONTROL OVER THIS TYPE OF INFORMATION. I WONDER IF ANYONE IN GOVERNMENT CARES?

THERE IS AN ONGOING STEERING PROBLEM WHERE THE CAR DRIFTS DANGEROUSLY TO THE RIGHT. I NOTICED IT WITHIN THE FIRST FEW DAYS OF THE CAR PURCHASE. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD, THIS IS WITHIN "SPECS." THE DISTRICT SERVICE MANAGER REFUSED TO RIDE IN THE CAR WHILE I DROVE IT TO DEMONSTRATE THE ISSUE. *TR

ON 6 OCCASIONS THE TPMS WARNING LIGHT HAS COME ON, ALL AT SPEEDS 75-80, ALL AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 2 HOURS. (TRIPS TO LA, TUCSON). THE TIRE PRESSURE CHECKED OUT OK WHEN I STOPPED EACH TIME. I BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALER 4 TIMES, BUT EACH TIME THEY COULD NOT FIND A TROUBLE CODE. THE HYUNDAI BLUELINK DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM HAS INDICATED A TROUBLE CONDITION SINCE THE BEGINNING, AND STILL INDICATES A TROUBLE CONDITION EVEN THOUGH THE DEALER HAS INDICATED IT HAS BEEN RESET ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION, AND WAS RESET AGAIN BY HYUNDAI USA ON 1/2/13. THE TPMS DOES NOT COME ON WHEN THE TIRES ARE COLD, AS ONE WOULD EXPECT. THE DEALER INDICATED THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, AND THE CAR SHOWS NO TROUBLE CODES. I HAVE CONTACTED HYUNDAI USA AND THEY INDICATE THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. BECAUSE OF ALL THE FALSE WARNINGS, I AM CONCERNED THAT I WILL NOT KNOW IF THERE IS A TRUE PROBLEM WITH MY TIRES OR JUST ANOTHER FALSE WARNING FROM THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM.
