The internal cluster went out all of a sudden. Stenallis has no part for us to repair it with. We have been without the car and no loaner for almost 4 months. There is a recall on this part on this model in this year. However, Stenallis won't recall my particular car which is currently affected. The recall should expand because it is on more models than they admit.

Loss of power on the highway, check engine light, battery light, PCM light, Service start/stop system light, stalling and shutting off when put into reverse. Code for MGU. It’s an etourqe Jeep Wrangler, no alternator and no aux battery. It’s been at a dealership since March 6th. They’ve replaced the MGU twice, which is a $15,000 part. They’ve replaced belts, belt tensioners, a crank shaft sensor and opened a star case and cannot remedy the issue. It still stalls and dies when put into reverse. Losing power and being unable to accelerate on the highway is exceedingly dangerous. The vehicle stalling and dying in any scenario is exceedingly dangerous. Not only to myself and the people in my vehicle but to others around me. The issue has been reproduced multiple times at the dealership and they cannot correct the problem.

Uconnect System pushed an update to an out of warranty vehicle. The OTA (over-the-air) update bricked (boot loop) the system that also includes the backup camera. The system continually reboots even with the car in the OFF position. If left, it will drain the battery and I cannot start the vehicle. I am forced to pull the fuse and am unable to use the backup saftey camera. No guidance from Jeep/Unconnect, as they do not post update files or a way to fix. Jeep dealerships want $1600 to replace the radio.

Without warning the IP panel lights up with all warnings and power steering is lost while driving. Dealership can not diagnose the issue. I have replaced both the main and the aux batteries and still have this same issue. I have been lucky so far the 3 times that it has happened because I was driving straight. If I was going around a curve or trying to avoid another driver, the probabilities are high that I would have been in an accident.

1st occurrence sept 21, 2022 at 53000 miles In shop June 19-20 June 23-currently Cost incurred Rental from Olathe Dodge Chrysler Jeep 1 day 6/19-6/20 $50 Loaner given from 6/23-current @ no cost to me Symptoms: While driving, all dash controls will zero, no speedometer. The following indicator lights illuminate: ABS Serv4WD Service auto start/stop Service electronic stability control Traction control on Traction control off Emergency brake on Service shifter When stopped and in drive, without warning, when going to accelerate to move forward, the vehicle will rev up but won’t move. It sounds like the car is in neutral. The dash will have the “D” for drive of PRND flashing. I try shifting into neutral and reverse with no change. I shift into park and then auto park engages and I am effectively stuck. The safety of myself and passenger(s) is immediately effected. I was at a stop sign in the middle of rush hour traffic in a densely populated metro and was stuck in park for over 3 minutes. The safety of others on the road is effected as I am a danger being stuck in the middle of the road. If they hit me, it could injure them and their passengers. The dealer has repeatedly stated they can’t get it to “act up”. They have had the vehicle

Both the auxiliary and main batteries go out at least once a year leaving you stranded in need of flatbed towing. Dealer has know suggestions on the faulty batteries or recommendations for a better solution.

I was on my way to work and when I stopped at a red light my car completely shut off. I tried to jump start it and then it flashed that my "start/stop button wasn't working" and that I needed to park because my car would shut off shortly. Then the dash started going crazy flashing all the lights and the windshield wipers started going, my hazard lights weren't working but the light was flashing on the dash. Completely died and had to get it towed

Note: The following is the second incident in less than a year whereby my vehicle has lost all power, and subsequently needed to be towed to the dealership. Apparently, the batteries (primary and aux/secondary) are/were being drained for some reason. The first time this occurred, there was some sort of wiring defect, possibly shorting out a circuit. We were able to drive it to the dealership, prior to it dying. The second time this occurred (yesterday 6/16/22), my wife was driving home via Virginia by herself. All sorts of error messages appeared on the dashboard, and the car started to jerk abruptly. Battery indicator said it was low (~9v). Car died within minutes, and she had to pull over to be safe. Once it died, she couldn’t even be drift it over for a safer position, relative to the highway traffic. If an accurate diagnosis is not made, I feel this is a dangerous situation, especially with all the Highway driving we do. Given the electrical history with Jeeps, what recourse do I have ? Are there lemon laws that may apply to these electrical issue? See towing receipt below. We currently have a loaner from the dealership, however they are saying it’s the alternator. Generally, alternators last anywhere between 50-100k miles, not 22k .

Jan 2021 Crash

The radio/infotainment system would reset every time I would have my Bluetooth & usb connected to my phone. This started about 4 months ago. Weeks later, my battery would be dead so I would have to jumpstart it. This started 2 weeks before the incident. The day of the incident, my car failed to start right after taking my foot off the brake while my car had shut off(due to the gas feature) at a stop light. I hooked up a jump kit but it did nothing. All the lights in my car began to blink like Christmas lights & even my windshield wipers went off until my car slowly & completely shut off in the middle of traffic. This took place on November 17th, 2021.
