Airbag light keeps blinking. Came on for no reason, won't turn off. Yes It is available for inspection. My safety is as risk if the airbag employs. No I'm not aware of problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No the vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. Warning light appeared on the Jan 28th 2023 and is still blinking when I turn car on.
HAD THE AIR BAGS CHANGED. THE SENSOR AND LIGHT FOR THE AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN ON EVERY SINCE. TOOK THE VEHICLE IN HAD THEM CHECK IT. THEY STATED THE PLUG CAME UNDONE. WITHIN 2 DAYS THE LIGHT WAS BACK ON. THEY HAVE STATED IT WOULD $100+ TO HAVE IT RE LOOKED AT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V452000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR REASON. NISSAN ELLICOTT CITY (8569 BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, ELLICOTT CITY, MD 21043, (410) 465-5550) REPAIRED THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG IN 2016 OR 2017, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED WITH THE SIDE AND REAR PASSENGER AIR BAGS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 35865693. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 69,000.
I'M JUST CURIOUS AS TO THIS NEWEST RECALL NISSAN HAS ISSUES FOR CERTAIN VERSA SEDANS AND HATCHBACKS. YOU SEE, BOTH MY FRONT PASSENGER AND FRONT DRIVER (STEERING COLUMN) AIRBAGS BOTH HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO A RECALL. NOW, THE SIDE AIR BAGS ARE BEGINNING TO SHOW UP ON THE RECALL LIST YET WHEN I ENTER MY VIN, IT SHOWS NO ACTIVE RECALLS. I'M NOT REALLY A BETTING WOMAN BUT I WILL SAY THAT IF MY DRIVER AND PASSENGER WERE REPLACED, WOULDN'T IT STAND TO REASON THAT THE SIDE AIRBAGS SHOULD PROBABLY BE INCLUDED IN THIS NEWEST RECALL NISSAN HAS PUT OUT? I GOT TWO SIDE AIRBAGS. ONE ON MY DRIVER AND ONE ON MY PASSENGER. AND I DON'T WANT LITTLE METAL FRAGMENTS EXPLODING IN MY FACE IF IMPACT COMES TO MY CAR. PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS IT CAN TAKE A WHILE FOR MY DEALERSHIP TO GET THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS. YOU KNOW IF TWO OUT OF THE FOUR AIRBAGS HAVE ALREADY BEEN RECALLED, CHANCES ARE THE OTHER TWO ARE NEXT.

AFTER STOPPING TO INVESTIGATE, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT SIDE AIR BAG HAD ERRONEOUSLY DEPLOYED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER LECKNER NISSAN (8569 BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE. ELLICOTT CITY) WERE BOTH NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
I WENT MY LOCAL DILARSHIP WHEN I GOT RECALL LETTER. THEY SAID HAVE NO AIRBAGS. THEY GIVE ME ANOTHER SCHEDULE AND TOLD ME CALL THEM BEFORE COME. I CALL THEM AGAIN TO KNOW ABOUT AIRBAGS IS AVAILABLE THEY SAID ME AVAILABLE. I WENT AGAIN BUT THEY SAID CAN'T TAKE OFF OLD AIRBAGS COUSE IT'S BEEN STUCK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR AS THE RECALL NOTICE WAS RECEIVED OVER A YEAR AGO. THE DEALER (AUTONATION NISSAN MIAMI, 3345 SW 8TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33135) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I WENT WITH MY CAR TO A DEALER: AUTO NATION NISSAN MIAMI AND THEY CHANGE THE TWO INFLATOR AIR BAGS ACCORDING BY DEALER DOCUMENTS BUT THE AIR BAG SIGNAL IN THE DASHBOARD CONTINUE BLINKING LIKE THE AIR BAG SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING. I CALL THEM AND THEY SAID CAN'T DOING ANYTHING.
TAKATA RECALL WHEN I RECEIVED MY RECALL I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY INSPECTED MY CAR AND I'M ASSUMING MY AIRBAG. SHE GOT MY NAME AND NUMBER, AND TOLD ME I WOULD BE 18TG ON THE WAIT LIST FOR MY PART, IT WAS SUPPOSED TO ARRIVE IN MARCH OR MAY I BELIEVE IS WHAT SHE TOLD ME. I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM EAST TENNESSEE NISSAN OF MORRISTOWN. I EMAILED THEM AND HAVE YET TO GET A RESPONSE. I HAVE BEEN WAITING AROUND , AND THIS IS THE ONLY AUTOMOBILE I HAVE TO DRIVE. I REALLY DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING IT , IF IT COULD POTENTIALLY DEPLOY AND SEND SHARDS OF METAL FRAGMENTS AT ME.

I [XXX] TOOK MY NISSAN VERSA TO REPAIR SHOP WITH NISSAN REPAIR SHOP IN 2017 TWICE IN FRESNO, CA. I WAS SENT BACK HOME DUE TO PARTS NOT BEGIN IN STOCK. NEVER WAS CALLED OR RECEIVED NO NOTIFICATIONS BACK. MY CAR STILL HAS THE AIR BAGS SIGNAL ON. NO ACCIDENTS YET BUT I AM NOT WAITING FOR IT TO HAPPENED AND BE AT RISK OF SEVERE CONSEQUENCES OR FATAL CONSEQUENCES. I DO NOT FEEL SAVE SPECIALLY FOR MY PASSENGERS ! I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE MANUFACTURER NEEDED TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS. I MADE SEVERAL APPOINTMENTS AND THEY WERE ALL CANCELLED STATING THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART AND THAT THEY PART WOULDN'T BE AVAILABLE UNTIL SPRING 2018.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE FALL OF 2017 FOR THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG. WHEN THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS WERE AVAILABLE IN THE SPRING OF 2018 & CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE WORK DONE. I WAS TOLD WHEN I ARRIVED THAT BECAUSE THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS FLASHING THEY NEEDED TO DO A DIAGNOSTIC TEST THAT WOULD COST $100+ TO DETERMINE IF IT WAS SAFE TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG. THEY STATED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS/SPIRAL CABLE MAY BE THE PROBLEM & THAT IT WOULD COST $1000+ TO REPLACE EVERYTHING & THAT THIS WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 94000 MILES. I REALLY LIKE THE CAR, BUT I ALSO WANT TO MAKE SURE IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE. DO I HAVE ANY RIGHTS HERE? I CALLED NISSANONE & THEY GAVE ME A CASE # 31081454, THEY CONTACTED THE DEALER & THEY WERE TOLD THAT MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED FIRST. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR 10 YEARS, BROUGHT IT NEW, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS NEVER CAME ON. MAYBE THE DEALER USED "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT AS A BLANKET TERM FOR ANY LIGHT THAT LIGHTS UP ON THE DASH BOARD. I DON'T KNOW. THE NISSAN REPRESENTATIVE JUST KEEP SAYING THAT FOR SAFETY REASONS I NEEDED TO HAVE IT CHANGES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OR MAYBE TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALER. I WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE ABOUT 40 MILES TO ANOTHER NISSAN DEALER, WHICH IS OK, BUT WHY SHOULD I HAVE TOO DO THAT? ANY ASSISTANTS OR ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE ME IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
TACATA RECALL THE DEALER COULD NOT FIX THE ISSUE (COULD NOT PUT A NEW AIRBAG) THEY DIDNT HAVE AN AIRBAG
TAKATA RECALL: LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP (SANDY SANSING NISSAN, PENSACOLA FLORIDA) WAS CONTACTED BY US SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST 4 MONTHS, REQUESTING INFORMATION ON THIS RECALL. WE WERE TOLD THE PART TO REPAIR THE AIRBAG IS NOT AVAILABLE AND WON'T BE UNTIL SPRING 2018. WHEN I CALLED AGAIN TODAY, I WAS TOLD THE SAME THING, BUT ALSO TOLD BY THE NISSAN SERVICEMAN, "THIS IS A VOLUNTARY RECALL BY NISSAN, DONE OUT OF AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION. NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT." I ASKED HIM IF IT WAS THE AIRBAG RECALL THAT HAD BEEN IN THE PRESS FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS FOR TAKATA AND HE SAID, "NO. THIS IS A DIFFERENT PART - JUST REPLACING THE INFLATORS AND ISN'T ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. THERE IS NO THREAT TO LIFE OR WELL BEING OF DRIVERS OR PASSENGERS." I ASKED IF HE WOULD CALL ME WHEN THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND HE SAID, "NO, BUT YOU CAN CALL ME EVERY FEW WEEKS TO SEE IF THE PARTS ARE IN." I LOOKED UP THE RECALL ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE AND IT IS, INDEED THE TAKATA RECALL THAT PEOPLE HAVE DIED AND/OR BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED FROM THE AIRBAGS BEING FAULTY. THIS IS MY 18 YEAR OLD SON'S CAR. I'M REALLY TICKED OFF AND CONCERNED.
TAKATA RECALL THE PASSENGER AIRBAG NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 16V-349 WAS POSTED ON MAY OF 2016, AND WE ARE STILL AWAITING PARTS AND NOTIFICATION FROM NISSAN! THE DRIVER AIRBAG NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 17V-449 WAS POSTED IN JULY 17, AND AGAIN WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR PARTS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, GIVEN THE POTENTIAL RISK INVOLVED.

AIRBAG ON DRIVER'S SIDE IS DEFECTIVE AND SUBJECT TO RECALL. TODAY I HEARD FROM MY DEALER THAT THEIR SYSTEM IS DOWN AND CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM UNTIL SPRING 2018. NEED TO GET THIS PROBLEM TAKEN CARE OF SOONER AS I AM AT RISK EVERY TIME I DRIVE. HOW CAN I GET THIS PROBLEM TAKEN CARE OF SOONER?
