BOUGHT CAMRY 05 NEW AND HAD INTERMITTENT VIBRATION IN THE FRONT . HAVE HAD ALL MOST ALL FRONT END REPLACED, MOTOR AND TRAN MOUNTS, CV DRIVE LINES .BEARING,ETC . I HAD THE CAR DOWN AT THE TOYOTA DEALER MANY TIME OVER THE YEARS THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY THING BAD ... I MY SELF CHECKED OUT FOR LOSE PARTS FOUND NOTHING TILL I MOVED LEFT SIDE CV DRIVE LINE AND I COULD MOVE THE DRIVE LINE UP AND DOWN AND AROUND THAT GOES INTO THE TRANSFER-CASE. I MADE A APPOINTMENT AGAIN TO THE TOYOTA DEALER AND HAD THE SHOP FOREMAN LOOK A THIS MOVEMENT..HE SAID THIS WAS NORMAL AND MOVES LESS THEN MOST 05 CAMRYS. THIS VIBRATION HAPPEN AT 40 AND UP.
WHILE SWITCHING LANES FROM LEFT TO RIGHT AT A STOPLIGHT ABOUT 10 FEET BEHIND THE CAR IN FRONT, AS I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE THE CAR SUDDENLY, UNEXPECTEDLY ACCELERATED AND MY FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE HIT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. WE HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS UNANTICIPATED ACCELERATION AT LEAST 6-7 TIMES IN DIVERSE CIRCUMSTANCES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED UNINTENDED ACCELERATION AS IF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT HELD ON TO THE STEERING WHEEL, CRASHED INTO A PARKED VEHICLE, AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO BRAKE, IT CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT HAD TO CRASH THE VEHICLE AGAINST THE SIDEWALK AND THE ONLY THING THAT STOPPED THE VEHICLE WAS THAT THE RIM HAD NO TIRE. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WAS PRESENT, BUT NO POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS NOTIFIED OF THE CRASH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER SENT A THIRD PARTY COMPANY TO INVESTIGATE THE CRASH AND THEY FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF MANUFACTURING DEFECT. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE SAME FAILURE OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE OVERDRIVE WAS SHIFTING TOO EARLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
WHILE DRIVING MY 05 TOYOTA CAMRY(WHICH HAS 51K MILES ON IT) IN THE MORNING TO WORK, MY CAR AT FIRST WASN'T GIVING ANY GAS INTO THE ENGINE AND IT WOULDN'T START. MY CO-WORKERS WERE ABLE TO JUMP START MY CAR AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER GOING TO AUTO-ZONE AND A LOCAL BODY SHOP WHO WERE UNSURE OF THE ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME AFTER THE DIAGNOSIS, THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO IT BEING "FAULTY" AND CLOGS UP DUE TO MOISTURE GETTING INTO THE VALVES. THE TOTAL COST FOR THE PART ITSELF + LABOR AND TAXES TOTALED 1155.99! UP UNTIL NOW, I HAVEN'T HAD ANY ISSUE WITH THE CAR EXCEPT THIS. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE IF IT DOES NOT GET RESOLVED. WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I WAS ON A HIGHWAY DRIVING AT THE SPEED LIMITS? WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THIS STALLED ON A BUSY INTERSECTION? PLEASE TALK TO TOYOTA ABOUT THIS ISSUE! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH WHEN SHE BEGAN TO HEAR A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE DID NOT RECUR. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,558.
2005 TOYOTA CAMRY LE. APPROXIMATELY 1 TO 2 SECONDS AFTER SHIFTING INTO REVERSE, ENGINE WENT INTO HIGH RPM AND ACCELERATED OUT OF GARAGE. DRIVER ALREADY HAD FOOT ON BRAKE PEDAL AND BRAKED HARD LEAVING SKID MARK (FROM RIGHT FRONT TIRE) OF APPROXIMATELY 24 - 30 INCHES IN LENGTH ON COATED GARAGE FLOOR. RIGHT SIDE MIRROR WAS RIPPED FROM CAR. REQUIRED APPROX. 10 FEET TO STOP. ENGINE DID NOT REMAIN AT HIGH RPM. (A/C MAY HAVE BEEN "ON". ENGINE WAS "COLD" - I.E., 1ST TIME STARTED THAT DAY; HOWEVER AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WAS IN MID-UPPER 70'S.) LATER THAT SAME MORNING, THE ENGINE AGAIN WENT TO HIGH RPM SHORTLY AFTER SHIFTING INTO REVERSE TO BACK OUT OF PARKING SPACE. DRIVER WAS PREPARED AND ABLE TO IMMEDIATELY STOP CAR. AIR CONDITIONING WAS NOT ENGAGED THIS TIME. TOOK CAR TO ORIGINAL DEALER SAME DAY. DEALER STATES NO FAULT CODES IN COMPUTER. "SOME" CARBON BUILD UP ON THROTTLE BODY. PERFORMED SAFETY CHECK INSPECTION. SERVICED/CLEANED THROTTLE BODY, FUEL INJECTORS, REPLACED TRANSMISSION FLUID, AND CLEANED/ADJUSTED REAR BRAKES. IN THE 3 DAYS SINCE THE ORIGINAL INCIDENTS AND SERVICE, PHENOMENON HAS NOT REPEATED. CAR HAS APPROX. 62KMILES AND HAS RECEIVED ALL WARRANTY AND REGULAR, PRESCRIBED SERVICE AT ORIGINAL DEALER ON SCHEDULE. CAR HAS HAD NO MAJOR REPAIRS DURING ITS HISTORY. *TR
MY 2005 TOYOTA CAMRY XLE V6 CAR HAS SERIOUS TRANSMISSION ISSUES. IT HESITATES AND TAKES SEVERAL SECONDS AT SLOW SPEEDS TO FIND A GEAR TO SHIFT INTO. THE ENGINE REVS AND THE RPMS INCREASE BUT THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT ENGAGE. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TROUBLESOME WHEN MAKING TURNS AND MAKES ME VULNERABLE TO BEING REAR ENDED IN RIGHT HAND TURNS, BUT EXPOSES ME TO BEING BROADSIDED IN LEFT HAND TURNS. JUST LAST WEEK DURING A LEFT TURN MY CAR WOULD NOT ENGAGE AND I WAS EXTREMELY CLOSE TO HAVING THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE MY CHILD SITS HIT! THIS CAR ALSO BUCKS SEVERAL TIMES WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 25-35 MPH. THIS CAR HAS TROUBLE CLIMBING SMALL HILLS AND ALSO JERKS AND DOWNSHIFTS WHEN GOING DOWN HILLS, EVEN AT SLOW SPEEDS WHEN MY FOOT NEVER LETS PRESSURE OFF THE GAS PEDAL. AS I SAID THE MOST TROUBLESOME ISSUE IS WHEN IT HAS DIFFICULTY SELECTING A GEAR AT LOWER SPEEDS. MORE THAN JUST AN ANNOYANCE, IT IS INDEED A SAFETY ISSUE AND I AM NOW AFRAID THAT I MAY BE HIT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DURING LEFT HAND TURNS. THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY THAT I DRIVE MY CAMRY. WHEN TELLING THE DEALER THE FIRST TIME OF THESE ISSUES HE BASICALLY SAID GET USED TO IT. THE NEXT TIME I TOOK MY CAMRY IN FOR SERVICE AND COMPLAINED AGAIN ABOUT THE ISSUE THEY SAID THERE WAS A SERVICE BULLETIN PUT OUT BY TOYOTA ABOUT RESETTING THE COMPUTER AND THEY THEN PERFORMED THIS MAINTENANCE. FORTUNATELY I DID NOT PAY FOR THIS SERVICE AS IT DID NOTHING TO HELP REMEDY THE SITUATION. I WILL BE TAKING IT IN FOR ANOTHER OIL CHANGE SOON AND COMPLAINING YET AGAIN ABOUT THIS ISSUE! *TR
I HAVE A 2005 TOYOTA CAMRY AND I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING SINCE ABOUT 6 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT IT. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD REFLASH THE COMPUTER THAT CONTROLS IT AND THAT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. IT HAS NOT. AM I GOING TO HAVE A RUN AWAY VEHICLE NEXT? THE CAR DRAGS AND THEN GOES FAST. DRIVING ON SNOW PACKED ROADS TO SALT LAKE CITY. AT AROUND 65 MILES OF DRIVING THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT IN MY TOYOTA CAMRY. WE HAD NO WARNING AT ALL, UNTIL THE CAR WOUD NO LONGER DRIVE AND THE INSIDE WAS FILLING UP WITH SMOKE. WE HAD TO HAVE THE CAMRY TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THEN TOWED BACK TO VERNAL UT. WE TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION REPIAR SHOP AND THEY TOLD US, THAT A ROD HAD COME OUT OF THE TRANSMISSION AND THE ONLY WAY IT WOULD DO THAT, IS TO GO FROM A WET ROAD TO A DRY ROAD. WE WERE ON SNOWY ROADS THE WHOLE TIME. WE HAVE NOT REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION, SINCE IT WILL COST US NEARLY $5,0000. WE DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY AND IT IS NOT OUR FAULT. WE FEEL THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTOR DEFECT ON THE TRANSMISSION. NOW I HAVE A 2005 CAMRY, THAT I CAN NOT DRIVE AND AM STILL PAYING FOR. IF WE WOULD HAVE HAD ANY INDICATIONS OF THE TRANSMISSION GOING, WE WOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF IT. BUT AS I SAID WE HAD NO WARNING. THE CAR JUST QUIT GOING.
I BOUGHT MY NEW 2005 TOYOTA CAMRY XLE V6 FROM GEIS TOYOTA, YORKTOWN HEIGHT, NY. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE RPM METER ON THE DASHBOARD DISPLAY KEEPS GOING UP WHILE RUNNING THE CAR, ALTHOUGH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS NOT DEPRESSED. I HAVE COMPLAINED THIS TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE VEHICLE NEED BREAK IN PERIOD, AND THE PROBLEM WILL GO AWAY. BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. I DO VEHICLE MAINTENANCE REGULARLY AS PER FACTORY RECOMMENDATION. LAST YEAR I TOOK THE CAR TO FORDHAM TOYOTA SERVICE, MANHATTAN, NY FOR SAME PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THE VEHICLE NEED A COMPLETE TUNE-UP WHICH THEY DID FOR A CHARGE. BUT THE PROBLEM REMAINED AND I GOT USED TO PRESS BRAKE PEDAL TO SLOW DOWN THE CAR TO TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM. *TR
ON OR ABOUT JAN. 25, 2010, I WAS PARKING MY 2005 TOYOTA CAMRY ON THE STREET IN FRONT IF MY HOUSE. AS I PUT IT INTO REVERSE TO BACK INTO THE PARKING SPACE, IT SUDDENLY SURGED BACKWARD INCREDIBLY FAST. THE ONLY THING THAT STOPPED IT WAS THE CAR PARKED BEHIND ME. NO DAMAGE WAS VISIBLE ON THE OTHER CAR; BUT MY BUMPER WAS SCRATCHED AND CRACKED. IT SCARED ME. *TR

MY WIFE WAS DRIVING AT A SPEED OF NO MORE THAN 15 MPH OFF OF OUR HOUSING ESTATE ON AND HEADING TOWARDS A MAIN ROAD. THE ROAD WAS ICY AND MY WIFE IS A CAUTIOUS DRIVER WHO WOULD NOT BE DRIVING AT EXCESSIVE SPEED. AS SHE APPROACHED THE JUNCTION SHE APPLIED THE BRAKES TO STOP THE CAR AT THE JUNCTION THE CAR DID NOT SEEM TO SLOW. SHE MADE A SPLIT SECOND DECISION TO TURN RIGHT ON TO A CUL-DE-SAC RATHER THAN GO ACROSS THE MAIN ROAD. SHE ENDED UP DRIVING ACROSS THE CUL-DE-SAC BEFORE HITTING A LAMP POST AND THEN DRIVING INTO A NEIGHBORS GARAGE DOOR WHERE THE CAR FINALLY STOPPED. MY WIFE WAS NOT INJURED ALTHOUGH THE CAR WAS HEAVILY DAMAGED, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE VISIBLE SKID MARKS ON THE CUL-DE-SAC WHERE YOU COULD SEE THAT SHE HAD APPLIED THE BRAKES. THE POLICE REPORT CONCLUDED THAT MY WIFE WAS DRIVING WITH EXCESSIVE SPEED, MY WIFE IS A VERY CAUTIOUS DRIVER WHO HAS NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT IN 20 YEARS. WHEN INTERVIEWED BY THE POLICE SHE WAS NOT SURE EXACTLY HOW THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED IT HAPPENED SO ALL SHE COULD DO WAS AGREE WITH THE POLICE REPORT. GIVEN THE MEDIA ATTENTION WITH NEWER TOYOTA MODELS RECENTLY WE THOUGH WE SHOULD REPORT THIS. *TR

OWN A 2005 TOYOTA CAMRY XLE V6. TRANSMISSION HESITATION, HEATED SEATS WORK OCCASIONALLY, MOST POWER WINDOWS DON'T OPERATE PROPERLY, AND LOTS OF SQUEAKS AND RATTLES. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 25,000 MILES, VERY WELL MAINTAINED. DEALER SAYS THAT ALL PROBLEMS ARE NORMAL. I BOUGHT A TOYOTA BECAUSE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THE BEST. THIS WAS THE FIRST IMPORT CAR FOR ME, AND WILL BE THE LAST. I WILL BE RETURNING TO FORD. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS LIKE THIS ON MY TAURUS WITH 200,000 MILES. *TR

CAR STALLING CONSTANTLY. NEEDS NEW THROTTLE BODY, $1200 TO FIX. FOR A COLLEGE STUDENT, I DON'T THINK SO. BUT, HAVE TO GET IT REPLACED IF I WANT TO DRIVE MY CAR. 2005 CAMRY DELAYS, THEN LURCHES FORWARD, WHEN ACCELERATING FROM UNDER 10 MPH. WHEN CAR IS DRIVEN ABOVE 10 MPH THEN IS DECELERATED TO UNDER 10 (I.E. TO MAKE LEFT TURN) THEN ACCELERATED, THE ENGINE WILL REV AND AFTER A .25 TO .5 SECOND DELAY THE TRANSMISSION CATCHES AND THROWS THE CAR FORWARD. *TR
2005 TOYOTA CAMRY FAILURE IS IN THE NATURE OF DELAYED TRANSMISSION RESPONSE. INCIDENTS HAPPEN AT AROUND 25-40MPH, MAINLY WHILE COASTING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, ALSO WHILE IN PROCESS OF SLOW ACCELERATION WHILE CHANGING LANES. VEHICLE DROPS IN SPEED/DELAYS AND THEN LUNGES, MANY TIMES MAKING A STRONG KICK/JERK BEFORE ALLOWING COMPLETION OF LANE CHANGE OR ACCELERATION. HAS CAUSED QUITE A FEW CLOSE CALLS WHILE MERGING INTO LANES. ALSO, VERY DELAYED RESPONSE WHILE TAKING OFF FROM A STOP SIGN OR COASTING THROUGH AT SLOW SPEEDS AT AN INTERSECTION, CAR DELAYS SHIFTING. REVS TO THE 3RPM MARK WHILE STILL STUCK AT 15MPH. DEALER DOES NOT HELP WITH WARRANTY B/C THEY "CAN'T FEEL THE PROBLEM" WHEN TEST DRIVING. HAVE GOTTEN THE RESPONSE "THAT IT IS A NORMAL FUNCTION". *TR

I HAVE A 2005 TOYOTA CAMRY SE V6 3.3L . 31,000 MILES. PURCHASED NEW. SINCE NEW THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING. IT SEEMS TO GET CONFUSED ON WHAT GEAR TO SHIFT INTO WHEN YOU LET OFF THE ACCELERATOR AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 20 AND 45. YOU CAN FEEL THE TRANSMISSION JUMP BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN GEARS. IT IS NOT SUTTLE AT ALL. IT FEELS LIKE THE TRANS IS ON ITS WAY OUT. I KNOW QUITE A BIT ABOUT CARS, ENOUGH TO KNOW EVENTUALLY THIS TRANS WILL FAIL IF IT CONTINUES TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THIS CAR LIKE MANY OTHER NEWER VEHICLE SHIFTS WHEN THE COMPUTER TELLS IT TO, AND IT ALSO HAS WHAT THEY CALL "THROTTLE BY WIRE" ACCELERATION CONTROL, WHICH MEANS THE ACCELERATION IS ALSO CONTROLLED BY COMPUTER AND NOT BY A CABLE CONNECTED TO THE PEDAL LIKE CARS ALWAYS HAD BEEN. I BELIEVE THE COMBINATION OF THESE TWO THINGS IS EXACTLY WHAT CAUSES THIS PROBLEM. TWICE I HAVE TALKED TO SOMEONE AT THE DEALER. ONCE THEY TOLD ME SOME VEHICLES VIN #'S ARE QUALIFIED FOR A COMPUTER SOFTWARE UPGRADE TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE AND OTHERS VIN#'S ARE NOT. TODAY I CALLED AND THE SERVICE GUY AND HE TOLD ME THERE IS NO SUCH RECALL AT ALL AND HE HASN'T HAD ANYONE COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS ISSUE. ALSO, MY MOM HAS A 2006 V6 CAMRY AND HAS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH HER CAR. I HAVE DRIVEN IT. EXACT SAME THING. SO FAR THAT IS 2 FOR 2. AAMCO LOOKED AT MY TRANS FLUID TODAY AND SAID IT LOOKED UNUSUALLY DIRTY AND IS BEGINNING TO BURN WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE COMPLETE FAILURE. AAMCO CAN DO WARRANTY WORK. HESITATION IN ACCELERATION AFTER DEPRESSION OF ACCELERATOR. CAR WILL EVENTUALLY RESPOND BUT ONLY AFTER A SECOND OR TWO. UPON PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE WITH THE INTENT OF MOVING SLOWLY UP TO THE BUMPER CURB IT CAN SUDDENLY SURGE (JUMP) AHEAD UNCONTROLLABLY. IF THE DRIVER IS WAITING IN A LEFT HAND TURN LANE AWAITING FOR TIME TO MAKE A SAFE TURN IN FRONT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO ASSUME THAT YOUR CAR WILL PROCEED WHEN APPLYING THE ACCELERATOR SO THAT YOU CAN PROCEED THROUGH THE TURN IN FRONT OF THE TRAFFIC OR WILL THE CAR HESITATE MOMENTARILY AND THEN SURGE AHEAD JUST IN TIME TO BE BROADSIDED BY THE ONCOMING CAR. THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS!! I DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO BE FORCED TO DRIVE THIS CAR.. WE HAVE HAD TWO INCIDENTS IN PARKING SPACES WHERE THE CAR HAS SURGED AHEAD AND WE CAUSED DAMAGE IN ON CASE TO THE CAR IN THE OPPOSING SPACE WHERE WE BUMPED A SHOPPING CART INTO THE OPPOSING CAR. THAT ONE CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE CAR THAT WE HIT WHICH WE PAID FOR AND DAMAGE TO OUR CAR. THE SECOND TIME MY WHILE MOVING INTO A PARKING SPACE WITH A SIGN AT THE END OF THE SPACE WE SURGED INTO THE SIGN CAUSING $700 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO OUR CAR. I HAVE HAD THREE TRIPS TO THE TOYOTA DEALER WHERE THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE CAR IS PERFORMING TO SPECIFICATIONS. THEY COULD ONLY STATE THAT THEY THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE DRIVER ERROR. I EVEN WENT TO ARBITRATION WITH THE SAME RESULT. I SIMPLY DO NOT BUY THIS RESULT. I ALSO OWN A '07 RANGER WHICH PERFORMS PERFECTLY AND MY DRIVING HABITS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME IN BOTH VEHICLES. *TR
2005 TOYOTA CAMRY MISSING TWO BOLTS. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE SHIFTER CABLE BRACKET BOLTS ARE MISSING. HE ALSO STATES THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS AFFECTED BY THIS PROBLEM. WHEN PUT INTO GEAR THE GEAR DID NOT ENGAGE. *KB WHEN THE GEAR WAS SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL THE VEHICLE WOULD BACK UP, WHEN IT WAS SHIFTED INTO TO DRIVE THERE WAS NO MOVEMENT, BUT WHEN IT WAS SHIFTED INTO 3RD GEAR, THE VEHICLE WENT FORWARD. *JB
SINCE THE FIRST MONTH I PURCHASED MY 2005 4-CYLINDER CAMRY THE ACCELERATION PEDAL DOES NOT IMMEDIATELY ENGAGE AND THE TRANSMISSION OCCASIONALLY SLIPS THEN MAKES CONTACT FOR ACCELERATION. ESPECIALLY TROUBLESOME IN TIGHT AREAS SUCH AS PARKING LOTS WHERE I HAVE HAD CLOSE CALLS WITH OTHER VEHICLES CLOSE TO HITTING ME DUE TO THIS HESITATION. MY TOYOTA DEALER AFTER ABOUT 4 - 5 VISITS HAVE STATED THAT SINCE OTHER CAMRY'S IN PARKING LOT DO THE SAME, IT IS O.K. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE SINCE THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES ON TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT THAT TRANSMISSION HAS SLIPPED MAKING IT HARD TO MOVE ALONG. THE DEALERSHIP DID REPLACE A SOLENOID VALVE AFTER CONTINUALLY BADGERING THEM AND THAT DIDN'T HELP. THEY SAY PROBLEM COULD BE IN COMPUTER BOX TO TRANSMISSION (THAT CANNOT BE ACCESSED BY TECHNICIANS) IS SET AT FACTORY AND CANNOT BE ADJUSTED. ALL THIS COMPUTERIZED HAS MADE IT DIFFICULT TO MAKE ANY CORRECTIONS THAT A CUSTOMER COMPLAINS ABOUT. THE OTHER ISSUE IS THE THUMPING NOISE ON DRIVER AND PASSENGER WINDOWS MAKE WHEN GOING DOWN. AGAIN THEY SAID THAT OTHER CAMRY'S DO IT, SO IT IS FINE. THAT IS NOT A WAY TO BUILD A CAR. BOTH OF THESE ISSUES HAVE BEEN GOING ON SINCE THE FIRST MONTH I PURCHASED VEHICLE. *JB
