Emergency brakes do not disengage all the time, resulting in brakes overheating.
the emergency brake warning light keeps coming on, service, reduced engine function. I have taken in to the dealership and they cant find the problem, this is on many forums and with little to no answers, just a lot of speculation.
Brakes and rotar issue. Within the first 8,000 miles the brake pads had to be replaced due to and excessive brake squeal. At 18,900 miles, my truck started to shimmy when I braked. Took it to the dealer who informed me that the rotar’s were warped and needed to be replaced. I have a Silverado HD and drive mostly city miles. No reason the brakes are failing at this low mileage. With the faulty rotar’s my very heavy vehicle is difficult to stop putting myself and drivers in danger. The brakes shimmy every time I brake and there has been no warning lamps or messages from my truck. GM is refusing to replace.
Inner brakes are worn down to the sensor at 35,000 miles. While the outside brakes are perfectly fine not much wear. There is a recall on the brake valve issue and bpmv same year and model of mine but my vin does not fall under that recall. I believe there is something wrong inside my rear brake system that is causing inner brakes to be worn that low compared to the outside brakes.
