I opened my car door to get in and found that that head rest was completely popped out. It was not in that condition the previous day.
Head rest deployed out of no where and we can’t reset it.
After coming home and parking the car in the driveway, went out with my son and noticed the passenger headrest had been pulled out. Went and looked at it and noticed some of the brackets holding a metal bar in place had been broke off.
I got in my car yesterday and the headrest of my driver's seat popped open. I am aware that they're was a class action suit against the manufacturer for malfunctioning headrest but I cannot find any recalls on this website for that issue. I would like to know if this is going to be covered, buy the dealership if I bring this in for repair.
Passenger headrest deployed while parked with no one even in the passenger seat. This could have caused serious injury had my daughter gotten into the car prior.
Passenger headrest activated without warning striking passenger in the head while driving. x84 recall in effect. Dealerships wont return phone calls for the repair. no trouble indicator lamps
Passenger head rest popped apart while driving and will not close.
The passenger side active head restraint (AHR) burst open injuring the owner who was sitting in the passenger seat while the vehicle was moving. There was no rear end impact and there was no reason for the AHR to malfunction.
My driver seat headrest had deployed somehow without getting into an thankfully I wasn't driving but I noticed it when I got into my car. The headrest also doesn't go back into place it seemed to have broke the clamps that hold the silver pole and the clamps that hold the silver pole is also locked.
Front passenger headrest popped out of no where and won't go back into place. It snapped and broke, scared the living daylights of my child. No crash. Car was parked and we were putting items in the trunk.
Passenger side head rest popped out while driving. When it popped there was also a loud noise.
The contact's son owns a 2016 Dodge Journey. The contact stated while her son was driving approximately 40 MPH, the headrest was deployed. The driver pulled over safely but could not reattach the headrest. The driver was not aware of any warning lights were being illuminated. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.
I I SAT DOWN IN THE PASSENGERS SEAT AND ADJUSTED THE SEAT BACK. WHEN I LEANED BACK THE HEAD SNAPPED OUT WITH A DEGREE OF FORCE AND HIT ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. IT APPEARS TO BE BROKEN AS IT WILL NOT GO BACK IN TO PLACE AND REMAIN THERE. THE CAR WAS IN PARK AT THE TIME AND WAS NOT HIT OR BUMPED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE.
Headrest randomly deployed. No accidents nor apparent reason.
WHILE MY CAR WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVE WAY AT MY HOUSE, THE PASSENGER SIDE HEAD REST RESTRAINT DEPLOYED WHEN NO ONE WAS IN THE VEHICLE. PARKED THE VEHICLE MONDAY (11/23/2020) AT 6:00 PM CST. WENT TO DRIVE THE CAR ON TUESDAY (11/24/2020) AT 11:30 CST AND THE HEAD REST RESTRAINT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT HAD DEPLOYED. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF THE VEHICLE BEING STRUCK WHILE PARKED.
DRIVERS ACTIVE HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE CAR UNOCCUPIED.
HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING. NO CRASH NO ONE IN PASSENGER SEAT OR BEHIND IT. DRIVING IN CITY ON A STRAIGHT STREET. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION IT APPEARS A SMALL PLASTIC PIECE THAT HOLDS A PIN HAS BROKEN OFF.
